You can plug any end of your ethernet cable to any of the ports which are located at the back end of the router. Plug another end of ethernet cable on your computer device. Ethernet cable will look like a large phone jack.   Enter the correct IP address in the address field of the browser. For Netgear routers, common IP addresses are “192.168.1.1”, “192.168.0.1” etc. If you find it difficult to find the correct IP address then click on the start button and type the “cmd” command in the Windows command prompt. Now press the “Enter button and type “ipconfig” command in the command button window and again press the “Enter” button. Check whether you can find any “Default Gateway” that can
