Follow the steps that are written below:

·    To configure a VPN set up you need two routers. One is a broadband router and another one is a router that serve your VPN network. To begin with first you need to connect the WAN port of your router to one of the LAN ports of your broadband router.

·    Then go to the admin interface of the TP-link router and carefully select a LAN address range which will be different from your regular LAN address range. After choosing a LAN address range click on “save” button. This action will save your LAN address range and will restart your machine.

·       Now access router with the new LAN address that you have chosen and go click on its WAN tab. Select L2TP or PPTP as your connection type. L2TP is preferable though for speed and compatibility. For a server IP, use a server name. Your router’s LAN IP must have to be a properly configured DHCP server. Set the mode of WAN connection to automatic. Then click on “save” button and be ready for a machine restart.

·    Power ON your router and go to its DHCP setting and enable it. Enter correct inputs to primary and secondary DNS fields.

·       Just check that whether your VPN network is connected or not.

·       Now set the Wi-Fi connection as well. Add Wi-Fi clients.

Your VPN connection is ready now. In case of any disruption go to WAN configuration menu set the maximum transmission rate (MTU) to 1400 and restart your machine. Also power off your router to discontinue the VPN network. Then again power it on. After the restart when your machine resumes its normal operation your powered-ON router will automatically get connect to the VPN network.
